The WattsVIEW is an electronic measurement device that can be used for many projects, especially DC power production ones such as solar PV, wind turbines, microhydros, and bike-pedal power. It is controlled from a PC and is able to log very accurate readings for DC volts and DC amps (current), and then calculates and plots power in watts, charge in amp-hour, and energy in calories. It plots several graphs in real-time and provides a log file for import into spreadsheets. This is an ideal device to really analyze your power generation and usage characteristics rather than just watching simple meters.
